This is a more general response, but:
Stop teaching. You're hurting people by continuing to be a horrible person. You are literally ruining lives.

Crappy teachers )

So, anyway, to teachers who hate their jobs, who hate kids or who aren't willing to put the work in making sure kids with different learning styles can learn in their class: please quit. Please walk away from this and stop damaging the students you're in charge of. They're still just kids. They're not adults. You're hurting them, by being cruel or just ineffective. If my sanitation worker left behind half my garbage, or my newspaper delivery person threw it on my roof, or a cashier dropped my eggs on the floor, or a postal worker blew her nose on my cable bill, or a computer programmer forgot some lines of code, or a chef undercooked pork, then that person would be fired. How are crappy teachers allowed to continue doing their lazy ineffective jobs while all those other people would be fired?

(As an aside, to all the good teachers I had, and to all good teachers who don't make their students fail, or worse, feel like crap, there aren't words for how wonderful you are.)

Heysup vosotros.
I haven't yet made my Back-to-School entry, so I guess I can now before I study for Anatomy.
My first period is with Mrs. Long, who I missed a lot last year. I loved Mrs. Fisher too (apparently an unpopular opinion) but Mrs. Long just owns your faces. I just love listening to her talk, I love how she explains authors' opinions, and how she reads the passages to us so we really get them, and all of that. She's just so awesome, and I want to be like her when I grow up. Nicole's in my first period, and that's cool.

My homeroom is with Mr. Bush. More on him when we get to fifth period. Thank you GOD that homeroom ends September 6th... I can't stand a double-dose of Bush. At least Bianca's there.

My second period is with Mrs. Merritt. The cool thing about her is that her husband and father-in-law own two funeral homes. The bad thing about her is that she looks like an old cheerleader. She's like, in her twenties, and she's... a cheerleader, yo. I have her for Keyboarding/Buisness Skillz, (yo) and the buisness skills part isn't so bad, but the keyboarding is. I can't sit up straight, my bones are crooked!! *whines* Typing properly isn't so bad though. Except when I have bad days, like today. Today I just sucked. Meh. Jessica's there, but we don't sit next to each other.

My third period is with Mrs. Grady, for Nutriton and Wellness (next semester is Food Prep or something like that.) She's really awesome in a you-don't-expect-her-to-be kind of way, and I have that class with a chick who I'm kind of training to be me after I leave Springstead. Her name is Laurel.

Fourth period I finally have with someone I know, my co-mod, co-president, co-hater-of-everything Bianca. I'd say partner-in-crime, only we're too lame to like, do crime. (lmao.) But yeah, Anatomy with Mr. Wagner is just awesome. Maybe I just set myself up to like that class, but Wagner? Is so cool. He's like... flexible. One minute he's standing, and the next he's sitting on a lab table cross-legged and it's like "whoa". Awesomeness, to use the word again. The subject matter leaves a bit to be desired (I never took Chem, after all, and so chapter 2 sucks) but it's okay. My favorite quote from him is "I don't care. They don't pay me enough to care." Also, there was the one from the other day:
Kid: So can you drink that?
W: Sure!
Kid: But like... will it kill you...?
W: Well, it is radioactive.

awesomeness.

Fifth period is... oh my gosh. All the cool kids are there, and some not so cool kids but kids who are AP kids so they're cool by default. I've got Bianca (thank God for alphabetical order), Andrea, Lisa, and then there's Phil and David and Joshkid... who else is in our class...? Well, some people, at any rate.
Economics Honors would make Stalin cry on Hitler's shoulder.
Econ is not a terribly difficult class. But Bush makes it that way. Bush drains me of my energy. I swear to John Lennon in Heaven, that man is like a vacuum cleaner- he drones and drones and drones and is annoying AND SUCKS THE LIFE OUT OF UNSUSPECTING AP KIDS. When Bianca and I walk into class, fresh from a nice Anatomy lesson, we're usually at least like, almost happy (happiness is a bit much to ask for, after all) but we look at everyone's faces and they're all like... well, they look like someone just died. Someone cool, I mean, not someone you kind of wanted to die anyway. As soon as you sit down, the life begins to pour out of your pores, and the overheated classroom just presses in upon you until YOU HAVE NO WILL TO LIVE. I swear to you, it's just awful. I can't breathe, I can't think, I can't stay awake, I can't exist. If that class was any longer...... *shudders and cannot complete the thought* For more on Bush's strange stories, hit up the ap community at ap_forever (I think. My brain just died. God, just thinking about Bush's class makes me want to shrivel up and cry. I feel lethargic all of a sudden. Whoa. Need oxygen.)

6th period isn't a class, but it sucks as much as one. As much as I love Bianca dearly, the two of us are just kind of lame, sitting there at our table BY OURSELVES in the SUN BECAUSE WE CAN'T GET OUT OF BUSH'S CLASS IN TIME TO GET A GOOD TABLE, eating SOGGY UNDER- AND- OVERCOOKED FRIES and a CHICKEN-LIKE SUBSTANCE in the SUN, emphasis on the FLORIDA IN AUGUST AT 1 PM SUN. I shouldn't have to wear sunblock to school, people. Please. Tomorrow? I'm bringing two little fans my father got at that tradeshow. See? I told you tradeshows are awesome, to use the word again.
So, yeah, Lunch sucks.

7th period is Algebra II with Mrs. Alleyne (pronounced A as in "A+" Leen as in "Leaning Tower of Pisa". Yeah, I don't get it either.)
She's... okay. She's nice. But she kind of overcomplicates everything, including note-taking. I miss Mrs. Buel so, so much. I seem to be doing alright in class though (we haven't gotten any grades yet, so I can't tell) I mean... I get all of the problems right... so we'll see.

So I've got two repeat teachers- Mrs. Long, from tenth grade AP Prep English 2 Honors, and Mr. Wagner, from 9th grade AP Prep Biology Honors ("Baby Biology", according to him). I really miss Mr. Wilcox. I'm going to visit him, Mr. Auricchio, Mrs. Buel, and I guess Mrs. Fisher maybe sometime soon, I hope, because I miss them, and I'll miss them a LOT when I'm gone. I'll have to get them to sign my yearbook. Whoa, I think I might cry. Oh! And Mr. Myers! WTF how could I forget him???? Oh, I'll miss him too. Woe.

I had my senior picture taken yesterday. It looks... almost humanoid. Kind of.
Well, I'd better go, I'm starting to ramble. See you all on the weekend.

So my first day of school sucked. It rained.

Homeroom: Bush
1st: Mrs. Long's AP Eng Lit+Comp
2nd: Mrs. Merritt (spelling? I don't care enough to check) Buisness Keyboarding whatevertheeff crap.
3rd: Mrs. Grady's Food prep nutrition whatever the eff I'LL HAVE TO USE OVENS AND I HAVE A REALLY BAD OVEN PHOBIA, GUYS! HELP!!!!!
4th: Wagner's Anatomy/Physiology honors
5th: Bush's Economy Honors (WTF, where is my AP class??????? WHERE ARE ALL OF MY AP CLASSES?????? WHORES!)
6th Lunch
7th: Mrs. Alleyne23ewefew whatever's Algebra II
Notice my lack of AP classes. WITNESS IT. I HAVE ONE AP CLASS. THAT IS WRONG ON EVERY POSSIBLE LEVEL, WHORES!
My original schedule had me set for no lunch and AP Art History for 6th, but it was that or lunch and I need a lunch so... yeah. Sucked. A lot. I WANT AP CLASSES! I CAN'T HANDLE ALL OF THOSE STUPID EASY CLASSES WITH STUPID FRESHMAN GRRR AAARGH

I THOUGHT it was going to be easy to get my school supplies, since most teachers were all "Just get a folder with prongs and you'll be fine" but Wal*Mart had no pronged folders. WTF?
It feels really weird not to have Spanish class this year. I miss it. I tried to get into French instead of Nutrition/Ovenclass but it was full.... meh.
I'll talk at greater length about everything later, right now I want to go do something relaxing. Like sleep, maybe. 179 days left.

because I told you before, ooh, you can't do that.

So anyway.
I DID miss my first day of Algebra, but she didn't really notice and she didn't care and started me with Tuesday's work and such. She likes me. I am doing SPECTACULARLY well in Algebra 1, I can't for the life of me see why I did so badly as to fail miserably last year. Substitution is extremely easy. Elimination annoys me.
Physics was ok this week, except the test which I almost passed with a 52. I took a quiz because no one does homework and got a 10 out of 10, I'm understanding what's going on (kind of) and I found out that each chapter has vocabulary words which I will copy and do definitions for. Vocab honestly never bothered me much and still doesn't.
English 3rd period has been very nice so far, except that I MISS JACKIEEEEEE. But since Bianca, Stephanie and I were in the library playing with books, it's been fun.

Flannery O'Connor is really cool.

Um. I heard, from Bianca, that her friend Danielle got a livejournal, but I can't remember her lj name, so I'll have to ask Bianca, but welcome anyway, Bianca's friend.

Um... on my friends list was a friends-only post by the chick who plays Blaise Zabini, and she said she was starting an RPG community. So I need you all to tell me whether or not I'd be a good rper, and who I should play if I decide to, etc.
Would I do a good job?
Hmm.
Anyway.
My week wasn't so bad...
Monday
Sick.
Tuesday
Sick, but went to school. Alg is nice, physics is teh_evil, geometry=no more, and that's all I can remember.
Wednesday
More of the same.
Thursday
Humanities was nice.
Friday
I was sooooooo tired. My nose is still stuffed and I loathe it. I can't really smell or taste, and since Wednesday my back has been mysteriously and insatiably itchy. I ripped the skin to shreds scratching and still it itches. BAH.
Do we have Saturday school????? *has forgotten*

All weekend the Ocala-Gainesville Oldies station will be playing nothing but Beatles to commemorate the:
40th Anniversary of the Beatles' first trip to America to New York for the Ed Sullivan show!!
1964 was a good year, except for Miss O'Connor, who died in 1964.

Moving along...
I'll respond to more entries on my friends list soon.
I can't think of good responses yet but I will soon.
Kthnxbi.
