So I just took this personality test:

It told me to paint my room... well, guess. Go on.
Yeah, pink. Shocker. I guess I really do know myself well, because my room is already painted pink.

I've been thinking for a long time about buying myself a present. Most people rely on others to surprise them and make them feel better, but I'm weird in that I like surprising myself, and I can cheer myself up fairly well (some of the best times I've had have been making myself laugh, after all.)
But what can I buy myself, really? I don't ever go anywhere where they sell stuff I'd buy.
So the money I'd spend on a lipgloss or bracelet or whatever is going to hurricane relief efforts instead, because that's a better present, in my opinion.
I don't have a whole lot of money. I have no job and no allowance, so all the money I have is what I've saved from previous birthdays and Christmases. (And as my relatives get older and sicker and die, I get less and less money.)
But I also don't have much to spend money on. So I do have extra money sometimes. And I don't have a thing to spend it on- except hurricane relief.
Ivy B. Greenflower is being charitable, vosotros! And we all know how cool she is. So why don't we all be like her? Come on, it's not that hard. Go without your fries for a day and give the fifty cents to people who don't have the luxury of fries. Okay? Good.
Those in Spring Hill can make checks payable to Springstead High School (put something like "Red Cross" in the memo line) and bring them to the front office, I'm sure they'll know what to do. Donations are tax deductible, so donate, please!!

I'm getting really awful about updating and replying to comments, aren't I? Argh. I do want to chronicle my life, so if some of the things I post from now on seem very boring, that's because I'm rather boring. I don't, after all, post here for your entertainment. (oooh, here come the comments stating the contrary, thank you in advance :P *is pretentious*)
Of course, since I don't aim to amuse, at least not usually (the one entry I clearly remember putting together for the purpose of your entertainment was the Purple-Eat-Me-Dress entry, I believe it's in the memories possibly, which was the funniest entry I've ever written, probably because it was the funniest thing to happen to ever happen to me in real life, at least that I remember. I can just picture my face when I saw that Thing. Priceless, that entry is.) I love you all very much, though, and I hope that you will continue to read and comment. I read your journals religiously, after all, although my shameful lack of comments doesn't show it. I'll be commenting better in the future, promise.
Now let's see, to begin the chronicles...
I've spent the last howevermanydays since the release of Half-Blood Prince completely and totally submerged in Harry-Potterstuff. MuggleNet has the best interview with Jo ever, I suggest you check that out. My favorite bit of information was the eye-color part where she says that Harry's are green, Ron's are blue, and Hermione's are brown. Sirius's eyes, incidentally, are gray.
The next entry or two will deal with my latest gifts, a pedicure set and various items from a tradeshow my father went to.
