ivybgreenflower: The Beatles (late period), surrounded by green plants and red flowers (Default)
Alright, so there WAS NO HURRICANE. Here's how it went.
9:30 AM
*sound of scrubbing from bathroom*
Me: WTF?
9:40 AM
*sound of bathtub filling*
*sounds of parents running around preparing*
Me: WTF?
9:50 AM
Me: I'd better get up now.
Mother: We'regoingttograndma'spackabagthehouseisgonnadie.
Me: What?
10:00 AM
*towels STICKING OUT OF EVERY CRACK IN MY HOUSE*
11:00ish AM
We depart for the Land of Shinyness and Good, aka my grandma's house.
11:03ish AM
We arrive at the Land of S+G.
From 12-2ish we watch tv.
TV says:
12:00 PM:
Paul (tv weatherman): WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE.
12:30 PM:
Paul: Y'all, out on the islands, you're screwed, 'cause we shut the bridges, power lines, water lines, and all lines of communication. Sorry, but we warned you.
1:00 PM:
Paul: Looking quite bad out there folks. Cat 4-almost-5 hurricane now, whee! We weathermen love this! I mean, uh...
1:30 PM:
Paul: *in front of radar showing gigantic hurricane* Um, so, sorry to disappoint you, folks, but the hurricane kinda...like... moved... so we're... not gonna get hit that bad.
Anchorwoman: WTF?
Paul: Yeah. We kinda thought this might happen. Y'know, we weather people. We knew there was this jetstream which could eff up the hurricane and make it do weird things like move to parts of Florida we didn't warn so they're all unprepared.
Anchorman: So... that means...
Paul: Everyone can go home from the shelters, yeah.
People everywhere along the Nature Coast (Central west coast thing of Florida): WE'RE GONNA GET YOU FOR THIS, WEATHERPEOPLE! AND YOUR LITTLE DOG TOO!
National Weather Place Thing: *gulp*
Paul: BUT WAIT, there's more.
Anchorpeople who have been up ALL NIGHT IN THE STUDIO: ...What?
Paul: Everyone who went to Orlando's gonna die. For real, this time. Hahahahah.
People in Orlando: WHY ARE WE ALWAYS THE LAST TO FIND OUT THESE THINGS?
Me: Whee, no school. Why did I get the feeling this was gonna happen?
-----------------------------------------------------------
So, I didn't die. Ironically, the weather was much worse today than it was yesterday. Oh the irony. I mean, really now...

Um. Sorry I haven't been commenting. I'm seriously behind on comments... eep...
