Although I understand it is a cartoon and faces are not circles, I do think maybe the faces could be rounder/wider? Especially for Bubblegum. And maybe a little bit more subtle eyeliner on Bubblegum. I also think Marceline should maybe have thinner, wider lips? I think the hair you used is perfect.
Do you have any tips on making their faces rounder? Because every time I try for a rounder or wider face my sims just end up looking kind of deformed. lol I'm not very good at this yet
In bodyshop under "face" you can increase the width of the upper face (if you go too far, the face will clip into the hair) You can also increase the lower width of the face, but don't do this too much because it does make the cheeks look funny if you go too far. Then under "jaw" you can increase the jaw width, this will make a big difference. And last, you can go back to face and play around with the "face gaunt" and "cheek size" options. last tip: hovering over all of the options tells you their names

No, you don't sound harsh at all! I'm about the opposite of artistic, so I need a lot of help making things look halfway decent. And I don't know about anyone else, but after staring at a sim in bodyshop for too long I start forgetting what a face is supposed to look like. I also always forget you can adjust things and then go back again, like, I always think you have to do each part separately instead of doing one thing, moving to something else to see how it looks, and then coming back to adjust.
I am the same way. I always have to put a sim away, and then open in up again later to finish it. xD Also, sometimes when I want to make a sim that isn't so distorted and will breed well, I work on the face while the sim is a child. I'll play with the features there, then change the sim to an adult and make smaller adjustments.
The last thing I'll do before I consider them to be "finished" will be to check them in other ages to see if anything looks too bizarre and then probably genderflip just to make sure they aren't hideous as men... for some reason their noses always seem to blow up.
