rocks

Help me find out what this rock is.

it's smooth, shiny, and those dots are sort of indentations? but you can barely barely feel them. The back has a diamond-shaped "hole" on the inside. The hole is rimmed in black.

so... what kind of rock is this?

Hmmmm I thought it would be a lighter pink.

I'd guess it was quartz but I'm not sure.

Well quartz have many different looks. Once again I have no idea but I'm going to guess quartz because it's common.

What does your quartz heart look like.

Well like I said quartz or quartzite is my best guess. The specks could be pieces of sand or other minerals like potassium feldspars.

Like the specks? Then I would guess potassium feldspar off the top of my head because it can be pink.

But if you are talking about the rock itself I believe pink quartz is caused by titanium impurities.

TBH when have trouble identifying a mineral in a rock in my Geology class I just put down quartz.

Exactly. LOL

I've always liked limestone the most tbh. It at least has fossils.

No no wait. Obsidian. I love obsidian.
