More poetry

I think I will cry when morning comes
I think I will die when the sun rises
I think I will lie awake all night
I know I don't want tomorrow to come

I think I am a corpse
A twisted rendition of former life
Once it held a heart, now just a lump of decaying, rotting useless mush
The eyes are sunken, sometimes closed, always blank and dreary
A tear forms a crease in the dust and remains long after it has dried
Parasites and worms eat away at the body once teeming with life and joy
Where did she go?
She is lying in the ground, she is the corpse, she is useless to everyone but the worms
Her coffin is decorated with pictures and roses
Her tombstone is spotless polished marble
Her gravesite is kept neat and clean
A plaque reads a poem
A disgruntled friend kneels at the grave
Too late.

Whee I love it!
