This summer I did a lot of things I had never expected to do. In my opinion, I had an awesome summer. Most of what I did was nothing. Lots of nothing. Lots of sleeping. Lots of internet. Lots. Of. Nothing. Which, to me, is bliss.
Here are some non-nothing things that I did, in no particular order:
1. Made a new friend! Who makes friends over summer? I did.
2. Roped myself a signifigant other. Hee. A summer fling. That should definitely last longer than a fling.
3. Went to the International Mall twice and discovered that while it's nice, it's very hate-worthy.
4. Donated ten bucks to cancer miscellany. Cancer killed George, it killed Linda, it killed Mary, it killed a million of my family members...
5. Read Things Fall Apart and Pygmalion, neither of which killed me, yay.
6. Nearly killed my beloved laptop, whose name is Bob.
7. Went to the movies twice. One of those times, I saw Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, which rocked way more than the other two.
8. Stayed up till 6+ AM talking to my darling.
9. Got a second wife.
10. Wrote lots of fiction.
11. Added some members to my "family"-
The family tree is this:
ivybgreenflower who is married to
ordinaryturtle and
takauji.
ivybgreenflower's twin sisters are
ofstaticpallor and
living_in_ennui. Our cousins are
watchme_combust and
realitymodified.
Bob newz, yo:
Bob's fan is a hopeless cause, the doctor is looking for a new one but I doubt one will be found. You never know, however.
Bob is getting antivirus software installed.
Bob is being upgraded to Windows 98, which makes me sad although it really is necessary as more and more programs stop offering Win95-compatible versions. Sigh.
Oh, and lots of stuff besides the fan was lose. No wonder Bob was all screwed up...
Well, time to stop babbling.
