Yo momma
I haven't written in awhile because I don't have much to say. (I also just realized I was supposed to read the Metamorphosis and didn't- oops.)
I decided to write, not angsty college entries or a complaint, but an anecdote from today, which will confirm that my mother is, indeed, awesome.
My mother brought home Quiznos for dinner, which is pretty awesome by itself. She decided we needed to go to Publix, so I went and got changed into clothes suitable for grocery stores (shorts don't go well with grocery stores, after all) and I came out of my room and sat on the couch, waiting for my mother to be ready to leave. (She's on the other couch.) So she's flipping channels and she stops, for some reason, on channel 66. Channel 66 is MTV. I said that it was upsetting that they don't play music much, and she agreed (my mother is kind of... not normal, in that she listens to way more modern music than I do and watches MTV in the middle of the night.) So there's this show on with Wilmer Valderrama, and my mother's all, "Have you ever seen this show? It's so funny!" The show had something to do with telling jokes, and they were telling "yo momma" jokes. There were various yo momma jokes about how fat, black, ugly, skinny, etc. various fictional mommas are, and I thought it was great that my mother even understood what they were saying, let alone voluntarily watched it.
So she finally gets ready to go to Publix, and comes out of her bedroom and goes "Yo momma!" and I said, "...you're my momma!" So she laughed. No more mention of mommas came until we were driving back from Publix and we see some old guy watering his lawn. My mother, without warning, looks out the window and goes YO MOMMA! It would have been funnier if she had opened the window, but I just think it's awesome that my mother would even think to say that in the general direction of some old guy.
So, yeah, this evening was filled with saying "yo momma!" and giggling.
