Coinzzz
I since re-checked my collection, and found that I have Kennedy half-dollars as well as Eisenhower dollars, and more two-dollar bills than I'd expected to find. Plus some Susan B. Anthony coins, a favorite of mine because they have a chick on them. Below is an exhaustive list of the coins given to me by the drunken dude. He only drinks on the weekends, but boy does he drink. Beer, of course. Nutcase. Anyhow, here's what he gave me, in the order I pick them up out of the bag (I cleaned them with some alcohol cleaner, which won't damage them or change the color- I just wanted to get the germs off, lol.)
First up is a coin so awesome I can wear it on my necklace. It's gold, comes from Barcelona, and is from 1992. It has a hole in the middle, which I'm assuming was there from the begining (I'm not familiar with Spanish money) and so I put it on my necklace. It is looooove. Doesn't stick to magnets though.
He gave me a Mexican bill that says UN PESO but has no date. I did some research about the 100 coin I had, and I found out that in 1982 Mexico changed the peso to the Neuvo Peso which changed how much things were worth yadda yadda but still never explained the 100 peso coin. It's a pretty bill, though. I also spritzed that with cleaner. :D
Speaking of Mexico, here's a coin that says DIEZ PESOS from 1981. Won't stick to a magnet.
More Mexico: a large coin that says "$20". No magnetization, yo.
Still more Mexico: two large-ish coins that say UN PESO, one from 1981 and one from 1982. They doesn't like magnets, no sir, they doesn't
This coin Drunko said was probably worthless. It's 1 DEUTSCHE MARK it says, from 1989.
aaaaand he just showed up at my door, at 11:45 PM, to tell us about the fireworks he just lit in our backyard. Um, DUH, we know you're an idiot, GO AWAY PLZKTHNX but I'm keeping my money. I should tell you that he's a nice person and a hard worker... when he's SOBER. His sister is a nice girl in her twenties with a 2-year-old who comes over to play while she talks to my mother (usually in the evening hours.) I quite like her and the child, and her faux-husband (they probably don't have enough money for a wedding). Both faux-husby and brother-dear are named Mike, and so my mother and father dubbed them Mike and Ike because of the candy. Mike is nice, Ike is drunk. Mike looks AND acts EXACTLY LIKE FREAKING WALLY CLEAVER on Leave it to Beaver. Ike looks and acts exactly like a drunk. My mother is QUITE annoyed now. Meh.
Next coin in the Drunko Coin Collection is a Canadian dollar, gold, from 1988. Magnetic.
This one is rather damaged but says "10 PENNIG" and comes from Germany. Magnetic. Here's another one. Aaaand another one. And another one, how about that. Hey, this one says 5. And a tenner. And a 1949 one... well, 1990 on one side and 1949 on the other, lol, and it says 2. A big one that says five and a little one that says five, now. And a ten pennig again.
I really like this one. It has a pineapple on one side and Queen Elizabeth II on the other, and says "Bahama Islands". Is the queen on EVERY coin? Sheesh. Not that I don't like her, I do, but I just find it to be a little... odd? lol. Non magnetic.
This one's old, goldish, from 1972, and says "Bank of Korea" on it. It's pretty, it has a little building and some Korean writing on it. I'm not sure why there's any English on it at all, but whatever. Maybe English-speaking people lived in Korea in the 70s. Or something. It's ten of something or other. No le gusta magnets.
Ahh, Repvblica Italiana. (They do the weird V for U thing too, heh.) 200 lire, gold-colored.
Whoo, Canadian quarter. Magnetic. Plus another dollar. And another quarter. And another dollar. And two quarters. Another quarter.
Mexico, again. Magnetic. Two one-cent coins and one that says 20 cents. One's from before The Change and the two one-centers are from after. The 20 is not magnetic. Here's another 1-er.
WHOO Canadian dime!!! Magnetic.
I don't know where this one comes from, honestly. It has similar writing to the Korean one but I'm not good with Oriental stuff :( It says 100 and 1979 on it though. No es magnetic yo.
I looove this one, second favorite, definitely. Because of the SIZE, it's absolutely TIIIINY. From 1962, with a name bigger than the coin, a ten-somethingorother from "JULIANA KONINGIN DER NEDERLANDEN". Hee! It's so teeeeeeeeeeeenyyyyyy. Magnetic.
Mexico, the Sequel: Mexico Returns and Strikes Back: an "UN PESO", $20, and a "20 CENTAVOS".
The Son of Canada: A dime, nickel, and penny. Dime and nickel magnetic; penny not.
This one has a pretty flower and writing that LOOKS Chinese, but, again, I suck at Oriental stuff. Not magnetic.
Not magnetic, all of these pretty much:
MEXICO AGAIN!: Un Peso, $20, and Cinco Centavos. This is what they say; I have no idea what they're worth.
2 Canadian nickels. (magnetic)
More German money, this time "1 Deutsche Mark" again. Hey, another one. And another one.
Ooh, "NEW PENCE" says this one, with a number two. Says 1981.
2 Peso coin, but from COLOMBIA this time.
Okay, this one is two of SOMETHING, but the writing looks....... Greek?? No idea.
This one's pretty, and it says "Eire". Irish. "1P".
This one's pretty awesome in that I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT SAYS, except that it's half of something with that Jewish candle thing (I don't want to spell it wrong, so I won't say it, lol) on the back.
Cayman Islands, ten of something.
Silver Canadian quarter, which is cool. I like silver.
Started at around 10:57....
Un Peso, 20 Centavos, and 100 whatevers from Mexico.
A Jamaican half-penny with Queen Elizabeth II on it.
Check it out, a "New Penny", from 1979. Similar to the 2 pence from before.
"Un Centavo" and "3 gramos", says this one coin. In TINY ITTY BITTY WRITING, it sez it's from the Dominican Republic.
Lastly is one coin Drunkdude got quite a kick out of. It says "Toiletoken".
Well, I'll go now since I was up "early" to watch Paul on Live 8 and I've just had to deal with a MORONNNNNNNNNNNNNN drunko idiot with fireworks. Die. But thanks for the coins, yo. The one from Espan~a is lovely. :D
Also, I just noticed this, some Canadian nickels are magnetic and others... aren't. Hmm.
Kbye. :) <33

+ I figured it must be from war-ness, but like... wow, I guess there are enough troops to warrant a foreign language on their coins.
Oh, and anything I may have learned about history was wiped from my brain by Mrs. You-Know-Who. heh.
