Let's play house
They're painting my house.
I've been excited about it because it's the first time I ever got to really be a part of a family decision, so we've got our black trim and red door (tomorrow, I guess) and that's exciting. But now they think they get to redecorate my room, and no, that's not happening. I'm still choosing between two pinks for my wall color, and I don't get to pick my own carpet color, which sucks because my mother picked the most horrid beige color ever, and I hate beige. She'll complain about how dirty it looks and I'll smack her because Lord help me I cannot take it any more. I don't want beige in my room. Damn it, my room is the only place where things look the way I want them too, with the five calendars (all out of date) and posters everywhere and my carpet. My pink carpet. It won't feel like my room any more with no posters up and no newspaper clippings and beige carpeting and pink walls.
Maybe I can get them to leave the carpet I have now in there, since no one ever sees my room (by my choice.) I hope so. We're getting tile, too. And I hate tile.
My room paint is called Satina Swirl, but I might go for Primrose Path (and if stupid Wal-Mart.com would let me look at paint colors, I'd show you) but PP is darker and I don't know if it would make me sick after a few days or not.
Needless to say, I'm not handling the changes well. Woe.
I'd like to revise the "I have no one to talk to statement" to mean "There's no time to talk to anyone". Really, when do we have time to talk?

They are my walls dammit!
Besides, I've got poster tape that peels off well without leaving a sticky residue. It's love, really.
By the way, Bianca, I made you a mix cd and I was gonna give it to you today, but noooo, you had to be sick or something.
I hope you don't hate it too much.

Why don't you do a combination of the two colours and comprimise? Like do a backround colour then dry-brush the other colour overtop of it? It'd be pretty.
Ask them to keep the same carpet and just cover it when painting? They really should let you keep the colour carpet you want since afterall that's your own personal bubble-home.
Anyways, it sounds like fun.
PS. The Door sounds cool, my two favourite colours.
