Love, t-shirt style

K so today was Jolene's Chrismassy get-together. She and Danielle cooked this fish thing (what was it again?) and they made angel hair pasta with some jar sauce. Bianca and I don't eat fish *high five* so we ate just the pasta, which was lovely. Then they made angel food cake and applesauce cookies (a heavenly night, I suppose), and I helped by putting the cookie batter on the cookie sheets, and they spread out and ended up looking like mini pancakes. Tasted lovely, though, as did the cake. I brought chocolate chip cookies which I made myself and I do hope everyone wasn't lying when they said they liked them. Blanca brought cupcakes from the store and she got the snowflake ring, which she left along with her glasses at Jolene's house. We thusly had to call her and make her come back for them.
We played Life, which was fun although they've updated it (wtf, yo.)
We only played long enough for me to get married, and although I always call my spouse stupid, I do actually love him very, very, VERY much even if it doesn't seem that way... oh well, he knows I love him, so I suppose it doesn't matter.
This entry does not seem like I'm the one who wrote it- wtfm...
uh, Squee?
Anyway, Jolene gave me a livejournal t-shirt in P-I-N-K and omg, I will always cherish it muchliness, like effing WHOA, and Danielle gave me a pink ring that goes with all the rest of my rings that I haven't worn lately and the new one reminded me that I really should wear them, so I will. So THANK YOU, cousins, because y'all rock like whoa and I love you muchly. :)
I'm getting used to Jolene's dogs and now I have the code (watch out, Jolene, now I'm going to break in to your house via the roof and steal stuff! mwa-ha-ha!) so I don't get locked out any more, whee.
I just have to remember the code. I hope it doesn't beep or something if you get it wrong, which would be terribly embarrassing. I forgot how many numbers it has, so I'll IM Jolene later and ask her again (third time! what a memory... not)
K so the point of this entry is... uh, nothing.

In other news, Jackieeeee, we have to hang out sometime before break is over.
I have ten tons of presents to buy, and the fifty dollar check and 25 $ gift certificate to Claire's will be going towards presents. Whee! I love giving people presents.

Lessee, list of people to get presents for:
Jolene and Danielle, of course
Bianca
Jackie
Lovely Boyfriend
'Rents
Card for the grand'rents
K, so it seemed like more at the time....
I have a feeling people will be getting a lot of homemade presents this year, simply because I'm always so dissatisfied with store stuff and how I never buy anything and annoy my mother, bleh. Don't be offended if I give you presents way late and they were on sale, it's 'cause I go shopping after the holidays (less stressful) and *everything* is on sale.

(I'm assuming that's the one, anyway.)

This isn't it, but it's similar enough.
When I get pictures of Jackie's presents- Squirt and Nemo from Finding Nemo (LOVEEEEE) I'll show you all.
Also, a lovely LOVELY present from my dearest boyfriend was the reinstating of his livejournal. I love you, dearest :) <3333333333 *mwah* K, I'll stop being mushy for those of you who are sickened by that sort of thing.

You know, I've noticed something lately... I've been happier, much like the way I used to be... wow, a long time ago. Everything is taking me by surprise lately. Take, for example, the Lemony Snicket movie (I'm willing to see it again, Jackie, if you want to go with me). Now, I knew for ages, months even, that it was coming out December 17th (Bianca drilled it into my head, as did Lunchables... hah) and yet even on Dec. 17th I was still surprised. It might have something to do with the fact that I woke up about a half hour before I left for the movie, waking up and changing into jeans and putting on more make-up and a little more deodorant, grabbing my purse and just going. I had the usual OMGI'MGOINGTOSEEMYFRIENDSSS pre-movie jitters, but they... disappeared. It was weird, I was, for the first time EVER, not anxious. As for the movie itself, I was expecting nothing, which is weird, because I usually expect loads of things from movies, but since I never read the books and only read a few snippets off of the Lunchables containers I didn't know what to expect, even after I read two reviews in the paper (one good, one bad.) I sat through the movie and absolutely adored the hell out of it, seriously, it was a great movie. I heard a LOT of griping about how Klaus had no glasses (I knew that much beforehand, that he was supposed to and didn't) but let me explain why:
1. He has dark hair
2. He's an orphan
3. He's kind of an outcast- I mean, I don't really expect such a voracious reader to have a ton of friends (even if *I* would love to be his friend)
4. There's an evil dude that's out to get him
5. He has two other people who hang out with him, a smart chick and a baby who acts as comic relief (although she was very smart, and I hearted her)
5. "I don't go looking for trouble, trouble always finds me!"
6. Wears glasses
K, so, sound familiar? DUH! Harry Potter! I mean, Liam Aiken was even going to BE Harry in the movies until they were like "OMG WAIT- shouldn't he be British?" So they took off the glasses and suddenly, he's not a Harry ripoff, (to people who aren't fans of either, I mean, not that I consider book or movie Klaus to be a ripoff- certainly not!) he's a whole different character.
Buy the way, Puttanesca... it means "whore pasta", essentially (Cleo called it that, by the way.) The story is (and it's a true story) that Italian prostitutes would make Puttanesca and put it in a big dish on their windowsills and lure men in. I've never had it, but the ingredients are:
1/2 pound young zucchini, sliced 1/4-inch thick, into 1/2 moons
2 cloves garlic, sliced paper thin
12 large leaves basil, torn in 1/2
1 pound can tomatoes, roughly chopped, retaining seeds and liquid
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons salt packed giant capers, rinsed of salt and drained
1/4 cup tiny black olives
1/2 lemon, juiced
2 tablespoons kosher or sea salt
1 pound dried penne pasta
2 tablespoons crushed red pepper flakes
Freshly cracked black pepper
(it varies by recipe, but that's the general idea.)

Oh, and Kosher salt RULZ PLZ.
I'd love to have stayed and done Jolene's dishes for her.

I did a google image search for "spatula": http://images.google.com/images?q=spatula&hl=en&btnG=Google+Search

YAY! I'm glad you will cherish your gift.

heheh, you theif. watch out! NOW WE HAVE AN ALARM. (ugh) hate it.GHEY. it accidentally goes off and police come to our house.
Don't worry it doesn't do anything if you type in the wrong code.

1. Homemade presents kick ass.
2. You don't have to get anything at all, so don't worry bout being late even.
3. It's always a bummer when you buy something and then soon after it's cheaper. gah. sales=yay.

HA, I love how you start cleaning whenever you come over. It's amusing.
wow, and I actually didn't mind doing the dishes today, and had "fun". ish. it was a hell of alot though.
I just didn't like that evil noise the sink made at me.lol.

(long comment, heh)
