Eep. Just found out that if I post stories on lj it's considered publication (which I knew) BUT... this means it can't be published by a real publisher (GLEEP) unless I restrict viewing. So I'm friends-locking them, because that means restricted (restricted to a select group of 41 people.)

How is it considered a publication/where did you find that out?
That's....stupid. Hiiissssss....

It's considered publication because my livejournal is public- anyone who wanted to see it can, without anyone's permission, whereas by my adding them to my friends list, it counts as the person getting permission. Found it out in a writing community where the people know what they're talking about, you know, they've been published/go to school where they teach you about that stuff, etc.
